The Collaboratory for Strategic Partnerships and Applied Research at Messiah College helps students mature in both their education and in their faith by putting their gifts, abilities and learning to work on real, “broken-world” problems. Through the connections the Collaboratory provides, students can partner with local or international mission agencies like Paxton Ministries, Rio Missions, World Vision, and Cure International to work on the behalf of underserved communities throughout the world.

Dozens of different projects are underway involving over 230 students from over a dozen different majors. These projects address a wide variety of needs – water, infrastructure, energy, business training, education, health, communication – and work with communities from A to Z (America to Zimbabwe!)

There’s an old idea that you get a college education, and then you go out into the world and use it. At Messiah, getting a college education includes using it in the world RIGHT NOW. And changing the world, changes us.
